    Blogging is Not for Wimps

    I have learned some new things this year. Blogging is one of them. To say that I’ve learned to blog is, perhaps, not quite true. I’ve created a blog and even have have several posts, some even with comments. I’ve learned that SEO (search engine optimization) is a good thing. I’m not sure how to use it but I know what it is. Another thing I’ve learned is that blogging is tough. Or at least can be. I’ve struggled with how often to post and the content of what my blog is about.     Another Challenge

    Today marks the start of another challenge for me: The A-to-Z Blog Challenge. I think I am crazy for taking another one on in addition to Camp NaNoWriMo. They are very different challenges though and I’m going to be writing anyway, so why not. Camp is a 30 day writing challenge and I get to set my own goal. Mine is to accumulate 20000 words to my novel, edited. It should be interesting. The A-to-Z Blog Challenge is a bit more involved. The idea is to write a blog post for each day of April, except Sundays, using the alphabet as the “prompt” for that day. There are some rules…

    April Writing Challenge

    Camp NaNoWriMo I like the idea of goals.  Having specific goals with deadlines can give you the motivation and drive to keep going. This can be a so-so thing for me. I often make goals that end in failure. Either I set my sights too high or, more commonly, I just didn’t stay focused on the goal. One thing that did work for me was NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writing month. This is a month long writing challenge of writing a 50,000 word novel set in November.
